7,650 visitors over 2 days
3 booths were allocated as 3D Consortium only.
There was an exhibition at a special booth by the 3D Consortium at the GIS Conference 2003 held on the 24th floor of the Roppongi Hills Mori Tower, on Friday 4th and Saturday 5th, July to promote the Consortium's activities. All members were asked to enter and Arizawa, NTT Data, Texne and Mercury Sunday (in Japanese alphabetical order) helped by giving an exhibition.
The number of visitors to the exhibition over 2 days was some 7,650 people and many visited the 3D Consortium booth and saw the demonstrations of all the exhibiting companies. The activities of the 3D Consortium were promoted by panel displays and the distribution of leaflets.
GIS (Global Information Systems) is enjoying attention at the moment as society's information infrastructure. The exhibition was as a result of the awareness of the rapid growth in the need for 3D expression in cities, living spaces and the environment and a request from the GIS Conference executive committee office.
