3D Imaging & Display Technology International Conference 2007

Led by the Industrial Technology Research Institute in Taiwan, the "1st 3D Imaging & Display Technology International Conference 2007" was held in Taipei.
Before the conference, the establishment of 3DIDA (3D Interaction & Display Alliance) which disseminates and promotes the 3D industry was announced under the presence of government officials. In addition to the Industrial Technology Research Institute, major LCD manufacturers, AOU and CMO and an online game company, gamania, participated in the conference which marked the beginning of the hand-in-hand movement between the government and private sectors for dissemination of 3D in Taiwan.
On behalf of the 3D Consortium, Mr. Kuniaki Izumi, associate head of administration delivered a congratulatory address and a keynote lecture titled "3D Industry: Present and Future".
During the conference, lectures which introduced the latest 3D technologies and the trend of 3D standardization in Europe, the United States, Japan, Korea and Taiwan were held. At the end of the conference, a panel discussion participated in by all lecturers was held which resulted in an active discussion about the dissemination of 3D.
