Report on the 3DC Conference 2006 in YOKOSUKA

The 3DC Conference, which has been organized annually as an "open event," was held jointly with the Limited Term Committee for 3D Image Technology Research and the Information Display Research Committee of the Institute of Image Information and Television Engineers at the presentation room of the NTT DoCoMo R&D Center on June 29, 2006.
This year, the Institute established the Limited Term Committee for 3D Image Technology Research, and the 3D Consortium is going to enhance collaborative activities with the Committee in the future.This conference was organized as the first commitment related to this collaboration.
The theme of the conference was "Heading for further development of stereoscopic image media technologies."
In addition to the conference, a tour to the exhibition room in the NTT DoCoMo R&D Center, and an exhibition with demonstrations by member companies were organized.
There were 55 members at the conference for a total of 82 people attending.
