During the first part of the first study session in this fiscal year, Mr. Katsuyuki Toyota (I-O Data Device, Inc), leader of "QoE 3D" WG, which was established this year, explained about the activity policies of the WG.
During the latter part of the study session, under the title, "The first time in the 3D industry! Now it is time for us to be connected under big actual businesses. Introduction of the entire 3D process from creation of 3D content to representation of 3D", we invited lecturers who have been involved in the actual 3D business as lecturers to give lectures on hot topics such as the creation of content and representation of 3D. In addition, people who have continuously been working in the 3D business since around 10 years ago up to now talked about their actual experiences. Mr. Seitaro Shimizu (associate member of the 3D Consortium) exhibited 3D photo panels based on the lenticular technique.
There were 46 members at the study session for a total of 73 people attending.
