Report on the 3D Consortium Study Session jointly organized by the Services/Contents Section and the Safety/Guidelines Section

The Study Session was jointly organized by the Services/Contents Section and the Safety/Guidelines Section at the Elm Hall of Sharp's Ichigaya Building on November 25.
The theme of Part 1 was "Regarding Safety Guidelines." Mr. Shigeru Chiba, Section Leader, presented and explained the draft of the "3D Consortium Safety Guidelines" which summarized practical results reflecting the achievements of the latest research. The theme of Part 2 was "Trends of the latest contents." The 3DCG (Computer Graphics) technology used for the movie "Ultraman," the latest Internet businesses and satellite images of entire areas of Japan were introduced. In addition, there was another report in the form of a round-table discussion under the theme "NetAIBO + Stereoscopic Images" which included participation by persons involved in those areas. Four member companies participated in the exhibition held with the study session. There were 33 members at the study session for a total of 61 people attending.
